Competition

Kelsey’s history-making 2022 season sees her add the titles of double World Champion and Commonwealth Champion to her impressive list of career highlights.

Kelsey eagerly awaited the exciting prospect of 2022 with two major events to contend.  First up was the World Athletics Championships in July in Oregon, closely followed by the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England between July 28 – August 8. Walking away with two golds was the ultimate goal and boy did she ever rise to the challenge: confirming her spot in history as the first ever double world javelin champion and completing her trio of Commonwealth medals with gold - then securing her inaugural Diamond League event win to cap off a hat-trick of back-to-back victories.
