Coles announce Kelsey as Little Athletics ambassador

Kelsey was thrilled to be announced on Friday as one of four new Coles Little Athletics ambassadors. She and discus thrower Matt Denny, Paralympic medallist Jaryd Clifford and pole vaulter Nina Kennedy join existing ambassadors Brandon Starc and Sally Pearson as the team of six inspiring young athletes across Australian in 2022.

“Tokyo bronze medallist and former world javelin champion Kelsey-Lee Barber has a new goal – inspiring Queensland kids to go for gold ahead of the Brisbane Olympics.

The 30-year-old has moved from Canberra to Brisbane to be part of the Queensland Academy of Sport, and is one of four new Coles Little Athletics ambassadors whose job it will be to inspire young athletes to dream big for the 2032 Games.”
